Abstract
The present article describes the development and goals of the prevention network Kein Tater werden (English: Dont Offend). The experiences of the Präventionsprojekt Dunkelfeld (PPD) (Prevention Project Dark Field) at the Institute for Sexual Medicine and Sexual Science Charité, University Clinic Berlin, showed that persons with a sexual responsiveness to the juvenile (prepubertal andor early pubertal) body — and thus the potential to endanger others (i.e., children) — utilize therapeutic offers and that there is a general shortage of therapeutic programs for this group. Efforts to establish regional centers throughout Germany led to the formation of the prevention network Kein Täter werden, which now has 11 sites (October 2015). This net- work of cooperating partner institutions pursues the task of realizing common quality standards concerning diagnostic procedure, therapy and accompanying research, as well as the ongoing establishment of additional therapeutic possibilities for the persons affected. The article provides an overview of the various committees and working groups within the prevention network.
