Abstract

Since 2014, the Prevention Project for Juveniles (PPJ) has offered diagnostic and therapeutic assistance to adolescents between 12 and 18 years who feel sexually attracted to pre andor early pubescent children. The PPJ, as part of a pilot project of the leading association of German statutory health insurers and in keeping with § 65d of the German Social Code V, provides anonymous and confidential treatment of affected juveniles. In the following article, the history of the project is presented, and the diagnostic and therapeutic principles of the project are explained. The current case report is followed by an overview of the experiences and future prospects.
